The original band members started rehearsing in the summer of 2018. Many auditions were held to find the perfect fit of compatibility and dedication to each other, and the music played. They all share a love of artists and bands like Joe Cocker, Electric Light Orchestra, The Stones, The Doobie Brothers, Brian Adams, Eric Clapton, and the Eagles to name a few. Throughout their years together, The Distractions have always enjoyed performing their classic 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s rock.

Years of experience have gifted them with a captivating stage presence and an ability to sustain a high energy, exciting, and engaging performance.  If you want to hear popular rock music you simply turn on the radio, but if you want to see Classic Rock done right, then you want to see The Distractions! 

What sets the Distractions apart from other “cover” bands is song selection. The songs are not the typical 3-chord blues/rock song after song. The songs are interesting, danceable, expertly played and will have you saying, “Wow, I remember that song. No other band does it, but that is a GREAT tune.” Having played over 100 shows over the last few years, we have experience with Corporate Events, Private Parties, Weddings, Night Clubs & Bars around Victoria, BC.
